The controversial Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad seems to drag the Air India issue not little but a bit more. On Thursday Gaikwad tried to defend himself in the Parliament session for thrashing Air India official last month.
Gaikwad told Parliament that his behavior was polite and called for a probe into the incident while apologizing. In his speech he made some statements to raise new controversies.
He said that in South Africa Mahatma Gandhi was thrown out of a train and US rejected Narendra Modi’s visa and in the same way he was not allowed to board flight. So is he comparing himself to Gandhi and Modi?
Gaikwad said he was a follower of Balasaheb Thackeray and have been taught how to fight like Chhatrapati Shivaji. Seriously? Is he fighting that way?
He explained that he did not fight for his seat but he was made to sit in economy class even though he has business class ticket. Gaikwad also said “While coming down, I wanted the complaint register to write a complaint. An officer shouted at me and said he is the ‘baap’ of AI. So I lost my cool.”
Gaikwad accused that some people tried to book some tickets in his name and he did not do anything and for the past few days no one knows his whereabouts. “I have done no wrong. How can the Delhi police book me for attempt to murder? Did I carry any weapons?” he questioned.
Basing on Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray’s advice Gaikwad apologized to the Parliament but denied to apologize AI official. But Mr.Gaikwad it is the airline official who has taken your thrashing.
